About the Recipe
A lot of other gaming sites have covered a traditional split pea soup recipe from Baldur's Gate, so we thought we would offer something different. This is a more summery dish, lighter and fresher than a basic pea soup. It uses watercress, leeks and garlic, with frozen peas and a good dash of lemon for some extra zing.

Ingredients
2 leeks
4 garlic cloves
500ml veg stock
80g watercress
400g fresh or frozen peas
1 lemon, zested and juiced
Handful of parsley
2 tbsp creme fraiche
Optional: Crusty bread, brie, port salut, bacon.
Preparation
Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the leeks and garlic in medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Pour in veg stock and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Add the watercress and peas, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Blend with a handheld blender or a food processor until smooth.
Add half the lemon zest and juice, and then salt and pepper to taste.
Chop parsley finely and add to the soup. Save a bit for garnish.
Add to bowls, garnish with a little parsley, creme fraiche, and a sprinkle of extra lemon zest.
