1. Buffy Summers (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
When Buffy is allowed to relax and be herself, she can be a bit of a dork with a great sense of humour. Her Slayer powers trump anything else, so we know no matter how drunk she gets, she will be able to hold her own in a pub fight. Of course, we hope it wouldn't come to that, but no decent girl's night out would be complete without that friend who could intimidate men and send them packing when they come sniffing around.
2. Phoebe Buffay (Friends)
Phoebe may seem like a wildcard at first, but hear me out. We have never seen her drunk for a start, and I have a feeling she would be a lot of fun but in a safe and wholesome way. She'd for sure be that girl who would disappear for ages, only to be found in the girl's toilets putting the world to rights with a group of newly-found besties.
3. Linda Belcher (Bob’s Burgers)
Linda is a 'wine mom', and we have seen her wild side throughout the show, so this is an obvious one. She is smart-mouthed and not afraid of getting a bit lairy, and I assume she can neck a bottle or two of wine without risk of losing her dignity entirely. To be honest, both Linda and Bob would be hilarious to take out together, but this is a girl's night only, so sorry, Bob.
4. Pam Poovey (Archer)
Pam was actually the first woman I thought of when coming up with this list. She is tough, hilarious, and can drink most people under the table. Pam would be up for any dare you set her, which would make for an unforgettable night, plus, if you want an edgy night fraught with danger, she has a few connections with shady folk she could call on.
5. Moira Rose (Schitt's Creek)
Moira Rose brings the camp and flair for the dramatic, perfect if you fancy a night out with karaoke and cocktails. She'd be the first one up, dragging you with her, to perform some semi-operatic version of Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Her passion and excitement would be infectious, and bring some top tier energy into the evening.
6. Princess Carolyn (Bojack Horseman)
Princess Carolyn is your fast-talking, no-nonsense friend with a strong personality, and a long list of interesting connections. She is the kind of pub friend who would leave you feeling like you could achieve anything, and maybe even give you the number of some agent/publisher/single sexy friend she knows.
7. Fleabag (Fleabag)
For a hysterical night out full of witty banter and open conversations bordering on inappropriate, Fleabag is your girl. She is the kind of friend who you could talk to about anything, from period poops to childhood trauma. Sure, she may lightly judge you for some of it, but she is happy for you to judge you for some of the weird shit she comes out with too.
8. Ursula (The Little Mermaid)
Ursula is my all-time favourite Disney character, and has always struck me as someone who has a lot more to give besides being your classic 'villain'. She is smart, sassy, and oh man, I bet she has some stories to tell. As long as you keep her sweet, and for god's sake don't sign anything, she would be a great gal to take to the pub.
9. Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
Rosa may start the evening holding back, sitting in the shadows, giving monosyllabic answers and openly judging your choice of cocktail. But after a few shots of tequila? She’s loosening up, challenging you to a game of pool, and absolutely destroying everyone at darts, no mercy.
10. Donna Meagle (Parks and Recreation)
Donna is the kind of woman who knows exactly where the secret afterparty is after the pub closes, and she’s taking you there. She’s the living embodiment of her “Treat Yo’ Self,” mantra, and will ensure wherever you go, the cocktails are fancy, the vibes are immaculate. You’ll wake up the next day poorer, hungover, but absolutely glowing. Rest assured, your group chat stories for the next week will be off the charts.
